Winter Semester 24
Hello Everyone,
I am going to try to summarize my past winter semester studying in Montreal, Quebec. This blog will must likely be written around the photos that I have compiled together, mostly thanks to friends taking nice photos, however this will definitely result in my brushing over many events and important parts of student life.
Honsetly, sorry guys this is going to be a low quality blog, I just don't have the energy.
After I scurried back from Mexico the first event I went to was the MOC exec retreat. Below you can see the beginning of a interment backgammon relationship.
Above, a good ol sock wrestle, also a ski into a ice climb in the Alfred Kelly Nature preserve
breakfast!
This winter was filled with, many, many, many trips to ski in Jay Peak vermont. I went almost every weekend. Bit by bit a built some pretty awesome friendships with the people that I went to jay with!
Below is part of a weekend spent in jay to ski, and to enjoy the eclipes!
Enjoying the eclipse and nice weather, then rory and zosia absolutely zonked

Early in the semester a big group of us went to igloo fest!

During easter break we crashed at Emma's place in Burlington and got an epic 3 days of skiing in. Touring at smugs pass, resort at smugs pass and of course another day at jay.

Sorry for the unrealeted-ness of this blog, but it's just how the photos ended up being uploaded.
Our apartment really provided for Isey and I. We always loved hosting.
A photo from Korean fried chicken night! (maybe just random photos, I'm not sure)
Me and Isey are always cooking! this year I was able to work on my indian cooking, below was one of the first Indian feasts I made.
One of the more studious things I did this semester was participate in an engineering competition.
In this provincial competition, the delegation from the Macdonald campus did quite well, with over 4 podiums. Jamie and me did well too! we got third and got a sustainability award in scientific communication. We presented microwave pyrolysis as a method to chemically recyle plastics.
The whole team posing for a photo
The only intermural I played this year was water polo. Our team was truly amazing. we made it to the finals and went into overtime and after scoring a goal that did not count, we got scored on and lost :(
Below is just us going out one night, the start of me and ben jaming too.

Well, this summer will be different for me. I will be working a nine to five job instead of guiding.
I don't know if this means that I will have less or more adventures in the summer. But I am definitely stoked to have weekends and hangout with people that aren't my coworkers (I still like them though)
cheers,
AlEIx
